Unveiling Infinite Possibilities: Troika's Grand Reveal

Today, I share the tale of the first spark that ignites the Troika flame each year—the inaugural General Meet, held on the 27th of November in Tata Hall. This wasn’t just another event; it marked the beginning of a transformative journey, introducing the very essence of Troika.

The hall was filled with fresh faces, eager to understand what this grand fest was all about. As the event unfolded, the story of Troika’s origins and legacy was shared. I could almost feel the roots of this tradition sinking deeper each year, much like my own. Then, the much awaited theme was revealed: "Troika: The Multiverse - Perspectives United."

A celebration of diversity—that’s what this theme embodies. It reflects my belief as I watch generations of students pass beneath my shade. Some see Troika as a family, nurtured by the heads, core team, and faculty like parents. Others view it as a battleground, where participants fiercely compete for glory. Still others see it simply as a festival of fun and color—a much-needed break from the everyday. This theme captures all those perspectives, welcoming each one with open arms.

After the General meet, the Troika heads shared their hopes and dreams. Their passion was palpable, and their words echoed with excitement for the year ahead. Each core member introduced their event and department with infectious enthusiasm. These moments are what I cherish—the first steps of students stepping into leadership and responsibility.

The faculty also played a vital role in guiding the team. Bharati Ma’am’s words especially resonated. She spoke of how Troika isn’t just about fun; it teaches teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience—skills no textbook can fully impart.

What warmed my heart the most was the presence of last year’s core team and Heads. Their cheers and encouragement were like a gentle rain, feeding this year’s team with confidence and motivation. It was a reminder that the spirit of Troika transcends time, living on in the students who carry its essence forward.

As the meeting ended, I looked at the first-year students with pride. For many, this was their first glimpse of what it truly means to be part of something grand. Soon, they’ll become organizers, planners, and dreamers, making memories they will cherish forever.

This meet wasn’t just the start of planning; it was the start of a journey—a reminder that each person, each idea, and each effort contributes to the legacy we build together. As the Mother Tree, I am deeply honored to stand as a witness to its unfolding legacy, year after year.
